Silent Auction of sports memorabilia at PSWA Dinner

The doors open for the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association’s Awards Dinner at 5 p.m. on Jan. 26.

Attendees who get their early – the dinner will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Route 70 in Cherry Hill – will have a chance to admire an impressive collection of sports memorabilia and collectibles, including signed articles.

Guests can even take home an item or two – they are available by silent auction.

This unique auction includes two ways to “win” many of the items. Tom Hynson, the auctioneer, explains it this way: “We’ll bring two of the same items. The first bid wins, and the high bid wins, so we always advise people, if they see something they like, bid early!”

Hynson said he will be able to accept credit card payment for winning bids.

The 105th annual Philadelphia Sports Writers Association Awards Dinner is Jan. 26, at the Crowne Plaze Hotel in Cherry Hill.
